Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in accordance with OEM guidelines and industry best practices. A strong understanding of power station equipment and operations is essential. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine electrical maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment in a power station environment, including but not limited to generators, transformers, switchgear, motors, and control systems.
• Conduct thorough fault investigations and diagnose electrical issues using appropriate testing equipment and techniques.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to effectively troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Adhere to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines and specifications during all maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and company policies.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and completely.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex electrical problems.
• Participate in on-call rotations for emergency repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
• Identify and report potential safety hazards and equipment malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC circuits, control panels, and electrical systems.
• Inspect and test electrical systems and components for proper functioning.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability of electrical equipment.

Qualifications:

• NOC preferred.
• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as an Electrical Technician, preferably in a power station or similar industrial environment.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with OEM guidelines and maintenance procedures.
• Experience with various electrical testing equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
• Valid driver's license.
• Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including lifting heavy objects and working in various environmental conditions.
