Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings, including site layouts, profiles, cross-sections, and construction details for roads, highways, drainage systems, and other infrastructure projects.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D, or similar software, to create and modify drawings based on engineering designs and specifications.
• Interpret and apply engineering calculations, survey data, and design specifications to develop accurate drawings.
• Collaborate with civil engineers, surveyors, and other project team members to ensure design accuracy and coordination.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers and project managers.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date drawing files and documentation.
• Adhere to company drafting standards and project requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs and material schedules.
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes and regulations.
• Manage drawing revisions and maintain accurate records of changes.
• Potentially perform site visits to gather information and verify existing conditions.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or technical diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Civil Draftsman, preferably with a focus on roads and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (or similar software) is essential.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, drafting standards, and construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
• Experience with survey data and GIS information is a plus.
• Experience with quantity take-offs is a plus.
