The HSE Engineer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and project requirements, conducting risk assessments and safety audits, providing technical guidance on hazard prevention, developing HSE reports and documentation, and collaborating with project teams to promote a safe and sustainable work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or any relevant field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Lead, HSE Engineer or a related role
- Should have valid HSE certifications
- Prior experience in KNPC projects is an advantage
- Must have valid transferrable residency in Kuwait
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide HSE training and guidance to project teams, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
- Monitor and enforce the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety measures on-site.
- Investigate safety incidents, near misses, and accidents, preparing detailed reports and recommending preventive actions.
- Collaborate with project management and subcontractors to promote a culture of safety and ensure that HSE objectives are met throughout the project.
