About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Associate to join our growing team at a leading business and tax advisory firm. This position is ideal for individuals with fresh to 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, data analytics or related fields. As a Finance Associate, you will support our financial consultants in delivering exceptional service to external clients, including international clients, while gaining valuable exposure to diverse industries and financial challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Client Support

• Assist financial consultants in preparing financial models, analysing data, and generating actionable insights for external clients.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and documentation.
• Work closely with clients to address financial queries and provide insights that support decision-making.
• Participate in client-facing meetings and presentations as needed, representing the firm professionally.

Financial Analysis

• Clean and organize financial data, leveraging strong accounting knowledge to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Support the development of customized financial reports
• Participate in data-driven analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in client operations.

Budgeting and Compliance

• Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for client projects.
• Support the preparation of tax returns, compliance reports, and other statutory filings for clients.
• Contribute to process improvements and the implementation of financial systems to enhance client service delivery.

Qualifications

Required:

• Fresh graduate with a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (and up to 2 years of professional experience in finance or accounting).
• Strong grasp of accounting principles, financial standards, and data analysis techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a client-focused environment.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic, client-facing role.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to achieve desired outcomes.

Preferred (Optional):

• Knowledge of international tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Familiarity with financial modelling and data visualization tools.
• Previous internship or work experience in a client-facing finance role is a plus.
