Secretary of Transportation Manager
Job Summary:
The Secretary of Transportation Manager supports the Transportation Manager in organizing and managing all transportation activities within the construction company. This includes coordinating logistics, maintaining records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and assisting with scheduling and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Documentation:
- Maintain and organize transportation-related records, including vehicle maintenance logs, driver certifications, and compliance documents.
- Prepare and manage reports related to transportation activities, fuel usage, and operational costs.
- Assist in preparing contracts, permits, and other regulatory paperwork.
- Handle correspondence, emails, and communications related to transportation logistics.
Logistics & Coordination:
- Assist in scheduling and dispatching company vehicles and construction equipment.
- Coordinate transportation of materials, equipment, and personnel to and from construction sites.
- Monitor and track vehicle movements, ensuring efficient route planning.
- Communicate with suppliers, drivers, and construction teams to ensure timely deliveries.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Maintain safety records and assist in implementing company transportation policies.
- Support in conducting safety training and ensuring drivers adhere to company policies.
- Assist in handling incident reports and coordinating with insurance providers when necessary.
General Support:
- Manage inventory of transportation-related supplies.
- Assist in budget tracking and cost control for transportation operations.
- Provide administrative support to the Transportation Manager and other team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the management.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Experience: 3 years in an administrative role, preferably in logistics, construction, or transportation.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and fleet management.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ﷼2,500.00 - ﷼3,500.00 per month
