The Operations Manager will drive the strategic and tactical execution of all freight forwarding and integrated logistics operations. This role demands a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain management, encompassing air, ocean, and land transportation. The Operations Manager will optimise processes using the advanced transportation systems, ensure strict regulatory compliance, and foster strong relationships with carriers, 3PL/4PL providers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all freight forwarding operations, including air freight, ocean freight, and land transportation, ensuring seamless execution and optimal efficiency.
• Develop and implement strategic operational plans to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
• Coordinate and manage end-to-end freight movements, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Optimize shipping and distribution processes to minimize transit times and maximize efficiency.
• Ensure strict compliance with all international and domestic import/export regulations, including customs brokerage procedures.
• Manage all required documentation, including bills of lading, airway bills, and customs forms, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Incoterms and other relevant trade regulations.
• Negotiate favorable rates and contracts with carriers, vendors, and service providers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key logistics partners.
• Monitor carrier performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for operational improvement.
• Generate comprehensive reports on operational performance, including freight costs, transit times, and customer satisfaction.
• Provide analysis of routing and load planning efficiency.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients, providing regular updates on shipment status.
• Strengthen customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in freight forwarding and logistics operations management.
• Strong knowledge of air freight, ocean freight, and land transportation.
• Proficiency in using any of the TMS and WMS systems.
• Expertise in customs brokerage, import/export regulations, and Incoterms.
• Proven ability to manage 3PL/4PL relationships.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
• Experience with load planning, and routing optimization.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of last working experience in the position of Operations Manager

Salary Range:

• 150,000 PKR -200,000 PKR (depending upon the experience)
