The Abu Dhabi Biobank (ADBB) is a key initiative, focusing on Cord Blood Biobanking (CBB), supporting clinical research, trials, and translational medicine.

The Laboratory Manager will oversee the Biobank’s operational and administrative functions, ensuring high standards of service, efficiency, and compliance

Responsibilities

• Managing daily lab operations, ensuring workflow efficiency, resource allocation, and quality control.
• Supervising multi-disciplinary teams, handling recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Overseeing financial planning, budgeting, procurement, and vendor contracts.
• Ensuring regulatory compliance with quality assurance programs and accreditation standards.
• Driving business development, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for service expansion.
• Implementing process improvements, integrating automation, robotics, and digital pathology into lab operations.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in Laboratory Management. Bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Technology, Business Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Required Skills

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Power BI, and laboratory technologies.
• Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage).
