Job Description

Role Objective

Responsible for overseeing the development and enhancement of Oman Air's e-commerce platforms, including website and mobile app. This role involves creating a product roadmap, managing business requirements documents (BRDs), sprint planning, release management, UX/UI ideation, and enhancing payment systems. The goal is to ensure timely and robust execution of web and app platforms to drive customer satisfaction and revenue growth.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with business objectives, focusing on enhancements to the website and mobile app.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define strategic goals, KPIs, and milestones for product development.
  • Create detailed BRDs outlining functional specifications for new features or enhancements.
  • Ensure that all requirements are aligned with user needs and technical feasibility.
  • Lead agile sprint planning sessions with cross-functional teams to prioritize tasks based on user stories.
  • Facilitate collaboration between developers, designers, and other stakeholders during sprints.
  • Oversee the release cycles of new features or updates across web and mobile platforms.
  • Coordinate testing phases to ensure quality standards are met before deployment.
  • Conduct research on market trends in UX/UI design to inform innovative solutions for Oman Air’s digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with design teams to create prototypes that enhance user experience across devices (desktops, tablets, smartphones).
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in existing features based on customer feedback and performance metrics.
  • Implement changes that enhance navigation flow, content presentation, or transactional processes within both web-based applications.
  • Work closely with IT teams to optimize payment gateways for improved security standards compliance while reducing transaction friction points such as checkout abandonment rates due inefficient processing times etcetera
  • Conduct thorough analysis of business needs versus technical capabilities when prioritizing user stories during agile sprints
  • Utilize data-driven insights from analytics tools like Google Analytics alongside stakeholder input when determining which feature developments should take precedence over others
  • Engage regularly with various departments including marketing sales IT operations etc., ensuring alignment between ecommerce initiatives company-wide objectives
  • Communicate effectively about project status timelines challenges faced by team members so everyone remains informed throughout entire lifecycle stages
  • Monitor key performance indicators related ecommerce platform usage conversion rates revenue generated through different channels etc., providing actionable recommendations based off findings.
  • Stay updated industry trends emerging technologies best practices ecommerce space; advocate adoption innovative solutions improve overall customer journey efficiency operations
  • Mentor junior team members provide guidance support necessary help them grow professionally contribute towards achieving departmental goals successfully
  • Perform any other related tasks as assigned by the Management


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, CT, Computer Science Data Science, or related field
  • Mandatory 8 years of Ecommerce product/Product management, Product development in airline or travel related industries.
  • Master’s degree is preferred.

  • Proficient in various data analysis techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation abilities.
  • Able to orient data analytics insights with the end-user in mind.
  • Excellent knowledge on internet booking engine, merchandizing flows for improving product shopping experience.
  • Excellent understanding of the job functions is essential.
