Job Description

A Financial Manager in the real estate field plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of a real estate agency or development firm. This role involves managing financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and analysis to ensure the business's financial health and compliance. The Financial Manager works closely with senior management to provide insights and recommendations for growth, profitability, and investment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Budgeting:
  • Develop and manage the company’s annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategies.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, forecast future financial outcomes, and make recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Prepare financial models to evaluate the impact of new projects, investments, or changes in market conditions.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and profit & loss reports.
  • Present financial performance reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improving profitability and managing costs.
  • Ensure financial reporting adheres to accounting principles, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Cash Flow Management:
  • Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations, investment opportunities, and debt obligations.
  • Oversee the company’s accounts receivable and payable, ensuring payments are timely and cash flow is optimized.
  • Work with the accounting team to ensure timely collections and payments, managing working capital efficiently.
  • Financial Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of real estate investments, properties, and market trends to assess profitability and risks.
  • Evaluate the financial viability of potential real estate projects (new developments, property acquisitions, leasing agreements, etc.).
  • Perform return on investment (ROI) analysis and other key metrics to help guide decision-making on property purchases, sales, or leases.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experienced working in a real estate industry or developer is desirable.

Minimum 5 years of work experience.
