This company has adopted Cargowise integrated solution system for rendering the services to its clients. InterCargo Logistics for now is looking to fill the position of Freight Coordinator for its office based in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Job Description:

To handle the full array of bookings registration in CargoWise system as per the rules pronounced by company and training provided by line manager;

Creating the bookings and tracking all inbound and outgoing air and sea shipments through active coordination with the air and shipping lines;

Coordinating with shippers for the collection of goods, arranging deliveries, securing POCs and PODs where needed;

Ensuring timely pick up of goods from notified collection points and monitoring the process onwards till safer delivery to the delivery points;

Dispatching notifications to suppliers and recipients of goods in a systematic order so that everyone is informed properly and is able to make the preparations in prior;

Ensuring timely updates of shipment details in Cargowise and updating information accordingly to track and meet the given deadlines;

Proactively identifying gaps and contribute in the process of establishing controls resulting in zero complaints in collection/delivery matters;

Develop an understanding of customer’s needs and taking actions to ensure that such needs are fulfilled;

Confirming and moving cargo based on advised regulations with regards to hours, hazardous nature and/or weight restrictions.

Exercising independent judgments within the established company procedures and industrial practices;

Other duties/tasks as assigned by the line manager from time to time as per job requirements.

Job Requirements;

1. The ideal candidate for this position comes with the hands on experience of dealing with the freight forwarding tasks;

2. He/She should be completely familiar with the Incoterms, their use and the procedures linked to same for handling of different shipments;

3. The candidate should come with the basic industrial knowledge on how to handle the shipment in different modes of transportation including air, sea and road;

4. The candidate ideally should be having prior exposure of handling Air and Sea shipments;

5. Strong communication skills with command over English is highly desired with proficiency in outlook-based email coordination;
