
Alzayani Investments is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accountant (Bahraini Candidate) to join our dynamic team in Manama, Bahrain. This is a full-time position offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a leading investment firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Verify documentation for payments and ensure accuracy before processing.
- Keep complete audit trails for all the payments made
- Assign control numbers to payment vouchers and maintain accurate records in the cash book.
- Record and track supplier invoices by assigning control numbers.
- Accurately enter all financial transactions into the accounting system.
- Prepare and complete monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Prepare and reconcile petty cash vouchers, ensuring timely and accurate replenishment.
- Prepare and circulate regular daily/monthly reports.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in both internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely financial data.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and protect the organization's assets.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all financial records.
- Contribute to the overall team effort by achieving set goals and supporting team members as required.
- Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Identify areas for process improvement and assist in the implementation of enhanced accounting practices.
- Performing on priority any other task as and when assigned by the line management i.e. Chief Accountant/Manager/GCFO.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an Accountant
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Must be a Bahraini citizen.
