Job Title: Business Development Manager (BDM) – Fiverr & Upwork Client Acquisition

Location: Islamabad
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive client acquisition through Fiverr and Upwork. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying high-value clients, optimizing gig listings, negotiating deals, and converting leads into long-term partnerships. This role requires a deep understanding of freelance marketplaces, strong sales skills, and the ability to build relationships with potential buyers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition & Lead Generation:
  • Identify and target high-potential clients on Fiverr, Upwork, and other freelance platforms.
  • Use advanced search filters, outreach strategies, and networking to attract buyers.
  • Engage with potential clients via Upwork proposals, Fiverr briefs, and direct messages.
  • Gig & Profile Optimization:
  • Work with freelancers/teams to optimize Fiverr gigs and Upwork profiles for maximum visibility.
  • Improve titles, descriptions, tags, portfolio samples, and pricing strategies.
  • Conduct A/B testing to enhance conversion rates.
  • Sales & Negotiation:
  • Pitch services effectively to potential clients via Upwork invites, Fiverr offers, and external outreach (LinkedIn, email, etc.).
  • Negotiate rates, project scopes, and long-term contracts.
  • Handle objections and close deals efficiently.
  • Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients for repeat business.
  • Ensure high client satisfaction to secure 5-star reviews and testimonials.
  • Market & Competitor Analysis:
  • Research trending services and competitor strategies on Fiverr & Upwork.
  • Adjust pricing, offers, and marketing tactics based on market demand.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting:
  • Monitor key metrics (conversion rates, response times, order volume).
  • Provide weekly/monthly reports on client acquisition progress.

Requirements:

Proven experience in sales, business development, or lead generation (preferably on Fiverr, Upwork, or freelance platforms).
✔ Strong understanding of how Fiverr & Upwork algorithms work.
✔ Excellent communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
✔ Ability to write compelling proposals and gig descriptions.
✔ Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
✔ Familiarity with LinkedIn outreach, cold emailing, and social selling is a plus.
