What You'll Do

This is an ideal position for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and client-focused individual who thrives in a dynamic environment. As a Release Manager , you will be responsible for building, managing, and coordinating release and deployment schedules across multiple IT applications. You will collaborate across teams to ensure production readiness, schedule alignment, and compliance with quality and security standards.

Release & Deployment Management

  • Build and manage IT application release schedules in alignment with production change and project timelines.
  • Lead merge strategies and coordinate cross-channel project deployments.
  • Create and execute detailed deployment plans for releases and production deployments.
  • Act as a gatekeeper by defining and enforcing entry criteria for production readiness.

Project & Environment Coordination

  • Maintain environment schedules and coordinate integration testing requirements across projects.
  • Verify gate completions for PCI/SOX compliance using checklists and compliance protocols.
  • Coordinate with engineering, QA, and project teams to assess environment and data requirements.
  • Ensure successful configuration and testing of third-party integrations.

Issue & Risk Management

  • Proactively manage issue queues, ensuring prompt resolution from open to close.
  • Monitor and report on project and environment health using dashboards and KPIs.
  • Anticipate risks and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Work with engineering and architecture teams to define and evolve release milestones.

Leadership & Process Improvement

  • Define useful metrics and targets for release management and improve them over time.
  • Lead high-performance cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and delivery.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to junior team members and contribute to performance evaluations.
  • Participate in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding activities.
  • Collaborate with business leadership and technical stakeholders to guide strategic decisions.

What You Know

  • Hands-on experience with Release Management tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, and CAB processes.
  • Proven ability to manage complex schedules, deployments, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, environment management, and integration points.
  • Expertise in defining and enforcing deployment gates and compliance verification (PCI/SOX).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead with influence, foster collaboration, and drive results in diverse environments.
  • Exceptional judgment in problem-solving, with experience analyzing data and situations involving variable factors.
  • Ability to present findings, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective partnerships across functions.

Additional Requirements

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working on problems of diverse scope and exercising sound decision-making.
  • Familiarity with technical concepts and tools relevant to application deployment and integration.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders and contributing to strategic discussions.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
