Job Description
  • Is responsible for doing all preparations before and during the service, e.g. preparing tables and polish cutlery.
  • Keeps track of the stock and supplies in the restaurant and communication where there might be a shortage like linen, glasswork etc.
  • Follows correct reporting procedures if faced with issues
  • Ensures that Food and Beverage orders are of a consistently good standard and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Complies with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
  • Takes orders from the guests, explaining the menu and advising the guest on their decision making.
  • Communicates with the kitchen about the orders and being very clear about special wishes of guests.
  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role
  • Knowledge of food hygiene regulations
  • Previous experience of cash handling
