Minimum Qualification
- Minimum diploma or degree in Facilities Management or a related field;
- Relevant certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH) are preferred.
Minimum Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in a mid-level facilities management role, preferably in an educational or service-oriented industry.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing teams and delivering high-quality services.
- Experience in managing external service providers and ensuring their performance meets school standards.
- Fluent in English, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and experience in budgeting and procurement.

Job Purpose:
Cranleigh Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager - Facilities to lead and oversee the effective management of facilities and services across the school. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency within the school premises and staff accommodations, including the management of external service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities & Services Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the school’s facilities, ensuring the buildings, grounds, and accommodations are maintained to the highest standards.
- Ensure efficient and effective deployment of resources and staff, delivering a culture of service excellence across the school.
- Manage the maintenance and repair of school buildings, liaising with contractors and external service providers to ensure timely completion of work and adherence to school standards.
- Ensure all security and operational systems are functioning efficiently, following Health & Safety guidelines and current regulations.
- Manage the procurement and contracting processes in accordance with school budget and Aldar Education’s policies, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure the smooth operation of external service providers (catering, security, maintenance, cleaning, transport, waste disposal, etc.), monitoring their performance to meet agreed standards and contractual obligations.
- Support the management of school-based events, ensuring facilities and resources are planned and delivered in a timely manner.
Accommodation Management:
- Oversee the allocation and management of staff housing, ensuring compliance with school policies and Aldar Education’s housing regulations.
- Coordinate with property management companies for contract negotiations, move requests, maintenance, and other accommodation-related matters.
- Conduct regular inspections of staff accommodations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and maintenance are maintained.
- Act as the primary point of contact for staff regarding accommodation concerns, ensuring timely resolution of any issues.
Health, Safety, & Environment:
- Foster a proactive health and safety culture across the Facilities team and ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation and Aldar Education guidelines.
- Monitor the health and safety performance of contractors and suppliers working within the school’s premises.
- Manage environmental initiatives and ensure compliance with sustainability objectives.
- Lead internal and external health and safety audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly.
Leadership & Management:
- Manage the Facilities and Services team, ensuring they meet performance expectations and deliver high standards of service.
- Foster a culture of professional development within the team, supporting ongoing training and performance reviews.
- Ensure that facilities staff are adequately resourced and that contractual obligations are met.
Financial Management:
- Oversee relevant budgets and expenditures for facilities management, ensuring the best value is achieved for the school and maintaining strict cost control.
- Ensure compliance with Aldar Education’s purchasing policy and Delegation of Authority (DOA) processes.
- Support shared resource initiatives across schools to improve service access and cost-efficiency.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local regulations and government authority guidelines, particularly regarding staff accommodations and contracts.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, service providers, and government entities.
- Address audit actions in a timely and efficient manner to maintain compliance with policies and regulations.
