Job Summary
The Assistant Manager Operations is responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of film production while also identifying and securing business opportunities. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong project management skills, industry connections, and a strategic mindset to ensure smooth production workflows and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:Operations Management:
- Create a production team with help of networking in the film and media industry
- Oversee and coordinate all logistical and operational aspects of film production.
- Manage production schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely project completion.
- Liaise with directors, producers, and crew members to streamline production processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety guidelines, and legal requirements.
- Handle contracts, permits, location scouting, and equipment rentals efficiently.
- Supervise post-production workflows and coordinate with editors, VFX teams, and distributors.
Business Development:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations in the film industry.
- Build and maintain relationships with production houses, streaming platforms, and media agencies.
- Develop and pitch proposals for branded content, co-productions, and sponsorship opportunities.
- Assist in marketing and promotional strategies to increase the reach and revenue of film projects.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Film Production, Business Administration, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 to 3 years in film production management, operations, or business development within the media/entertainment industry.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of production planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Experience in securing funding, sponsorships, and distribution deals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with industry-standard production tools, software, and legal requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in managing digital media projects, OTT platforms, or TV commercials.
- Established network within the film industry, including production houses and agencies.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies in filmmaking, including virtual production and AI-driven content.
