    Bachelor / MBBS (Attested certificates)
    Experience in similar role.
    Minimum 2- 3 years of UAE experience
    Excellent English Proficiency

Responsibilities
    01. Conducting health screening of students.
    1. Keep a check on the supplies needed for the health screening of the students.
    2. Protects the privacy of the student during health screening.
    3. Measure height and weight of students at the start of the academic year. Keeps a track on development of growth of students who do not have normal height and weight as per age.
    4. Records all the observations in the school health record of the student.
    5. Informs the parent and class teacher if any health problem noticed.
    6. Enters all health information of student in school software – Orison and be accountable for every entry made.

    02. Coordination with teachers.
    1. Reports presence of potential hazards in the classroom.
    2. Motivates teachers and students to adopt healthy practices.
    3. Motivates teachers and students to maintain hygiene.
    4. Immediately refers student with fever, rash or unusual behavior to the teacher, supervisor and principal and calls the parent.

    03. Vaccinations.
    1. Plans, implements and evaluates immunization program of all the students in the school.
    2. Maintains acknowledgements received from parents related to vaccinations and medical conditions of students.
    3. Follow up with parent who have not agreed to give the vaccination recommended from MOH.
    4. If any student whose parent has agreed for vaccination is absent then call the parent and confirm the reason and inform the child is missing the vaccination.
    5. Keeps a track of vaccination schedules as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Health.
    6. Records the immunization dose given to students in their school health record.
    7. Handles the students gently during vaccination.
    8. Maintains high standard of hygiene and ensures use of sterilized equipment’s.
    9. Advises students on how to take care after vaccination is given.
    10. Sends report to Principal, Vice Principal and Assistant Principal after vaccination is done with name and grade of students who have missed the vaccine

    04. Pastoral Duties
    1. Monitor the wellbeing of all students.
    2. Support students who need special assistance till the parent has arrived.
    3. Administers medicines and treatments as per the details mentioned by parent in the medical file of the student.
    4. Monitors the students’ condition in the school clinic before sending the student back to the classroom or home.
    5. Informs parent in detail about the treatment given in the school clinic.
    6. Record the medication given in school clinic along with date, day and time.
    7. Communicate, as appropriate, with parents of students and persons or bodies outside the school concerned with the welfare of individual students, after consultation with appropriate staff.

    05. Records and Entries.
    1. Maintains online records for staff with the date, time and health issue of the staff with the treatment given and this record must be attached along with the weekly report that is sent to the Principal.
    2. Maintains entries of all incoming medical equipment including medicines.
    3. Maintains a log of quantity of medicine given to students and staff.
    4. Maintains record of incident reports with signature of Assistant Principal and Principal.
    5. Ensures the school clinic notice board is updated with vital health information for students to read.

    06.
    Inspection Readiness.
    1. Ensure that the school clinic is clean and organized always.
    2. Ensure that all student data is updated on the system.
    3. Ensure that all student health files are maintained class and grade wise.
    4. Special health case files must be kept separately.
    5. Keep copies of the MOH contract of yourself and the nurse, school clinic license and other important documents of the school clinic always ready in a file.

    07. Compliance
    1. Ensures all important data and statistics is sent to the right authorities (MOH, SPEA) after consulting the Principal.
    2. Contribute to the corporate life of the school through effective participation in meetings and management systems necessary to coordinate the health and safety of the school.
    3. Conducts health education/awareness sessions for the students appropriate to their age and gender.
    4. Conducts health awareness sessions for the school staff.
    5. Conduct awareness session for parents’ (e.g. breast cancer awareness day) after getting approval from MOE.

    6. Invite guest speakers to school to raise awareness and conduct activities with the students’ and staff.
    7. Informs the Principals secretary of any emergency or incident immediately before calling the ambulance.
    8. Promotes relations with other schools which will enable us to be updated about the health related events conducted in other schools.
    9. Maintains all updates and circulars received from Ministry of Health.
    10. Maintains external relations with personnel who can conduct health education workshops/campaigns.
    11. Maintain confidentiality on matters related to school, staff and infrastructure.

Skills Description
    1. Ensures that all medical supplies and equipment needed for first aid and emergency care are available in working condition in the school clinic.
    2. Assesses needs of the students who require first aid.
    3. Administers the first aid care appropriate to the students’ condition.
    4. Refers to the Ministry of Health for advice when needed.
    5. Informs the Principal’s secretary about any emergency such as incidents which may need hospitalization or immediate parent attention. The Principal’s secretary will inform the Principal, Vice Principal or Assistant Principal accordingly.
    6. Informs the parent, through the school authorities about the student’s condition.
    7. Transfers the student to the nearest hospital as per the standard procedure.
    8. Send a weekly report to the Principal on every Thursday.
