Position Overview
The Senior Videographer will be responsible for leading the end-to-end production of video projects, from planning to post-production. This role involves capturing, editing, and delivering visually engaging video content for digital, social media, and internal channels. Working closely with the Creative Director, Scriptwriter, and Motion Graphics Designer, the Senior Videographer will help bring Organisation’s brand stories to life, enhancing our global presence through dynamic visual storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Video Production and Cinematography
- Lead all aspects of video production, including shooting, lighting, sound recording, and direction, ensuring high-quality footage that aligns with Organisation’s brand standards.
- Produce a variety of video content, including promotional videos, product demos, corporate stories, interviews, and event coverage.
- Plan and execute video shoots on-site and in studio settings, managing the creative and technical aspects of production.
Creative Direction and Storytelling
- Work closely with the Creative Director and Scriptwriter to understand project objectives, develop storyboards, and bring creative concepts to life.
- Direct and conduct interviews, testimonials, and narrative-driven shoots that effectively communicate Organisation’s mission and values.
- Ensure that video content reflects the brand voice and is engaging, impactful, and accessible to diverse audiences.
Editing and Post-Production
- Edit footage to create cohesive, polished videos, adding music, sound effects, color grading, and graphics as needed.
- Collaborate with the Motion Graphics Designer to integrate animation, graphics, and special effects for enhanced storytelling.
- Ensure timely delivery of final video projects, optimized for quality across digital and social media platforms.
Equipment and Technology Management
- Manage and maintain video equipment, including cameras, lighting, microphones, and other gear, ensuring all equipment is in top working condition.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest video production technology, trends, and techniques, proposing new tools or methods to enhance production quality.
Project Management and Team Collaboration
- Manage video projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to without compromising quality.
- Mentor junior animator/ editor, fostering skill development and a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Arts, Communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a videographer, preferably with experience in a senior role within an in-house brand team or creative agency.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in video production, cinematography, editing, and post-production.
- Proficiency with industry-standard video production equipment and editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve.
- Expertise in lighting, sound recording, and color grading, with an eye for detail and composition.
- Strong storytelling and creative skills, with the ability to translate brand messages into visually engaging content.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
