    Job Description:

    Qualifications:

    Essential:

    • M.Phil. in International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Development Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, Government & Public Policy, Public Administration, Economics, or a related field from recognized University.

    Desirable:

    • PhD in International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Development Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, Government & Public Policy, Public Administration, Economics, or a related field from recognized University.
    • MA English from a recognized University.

    Experience:

    Essential:

    • Minimum 07-10 years of relevant research experience in policy research, international organization or think tanks.

    Desirable:

    • Minimum 10 years of relevant research experience, including at least 05 years in a leadership role.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage the research division, ensuring high-quality research output.
    • Develop and implement a research strategy align with institutional goals.
    • Guide and supervise research teams on key policies and academic projects.
    • Establish partnerships with research institutions, policymakers, and funding agencies.
    • Mobilize media outreach for the dissemination of research findings.
    • Organize policy dialogues, conferences, and research-based events.
    • Secure and manage research grands and funding's opportunities.
    • Ensure ethical research standards and compliance with institutional policies.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    Essential:

    • Strong ability to collaborate with academia, government institution, and international organizations.
    • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
    • Ability to engage with policymakers and enhance media outreach for research impact.
    • Also have done activities on research paper works, conferences, seminars, and also have organized research conference.

    Desirable:

    • Strong ability to collaborate with academia, government institution, and international organizations for joint research initiative.

    Publications:

    Essential:

    • Minimum 3-5 high-impact research publications in National and International Journals.
    • Also have conference papers.

    Desirable:

    • Authorship of a book in relevant academia or policy domain is highly preferred.

    Terms & Conditions:

    • Candidates are required to attach scanned copies of their documents (Academics / Professional).
    • Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC.

    Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:

    • 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
    • NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
    • In process of pursuing a required degree.
    • Medically unfit.
    • Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.
    • Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed forces may apply through their respective parent department / organizations. Late / incomplete applications will be ignored. Only short-listed candidates will be considered / called for test / interview and no TA / DA will be admissible.
