Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for children and adolescents.
• Develop individualized treatment plans including psychotherapy, medication management, and family interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary.
• Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, pediatricians, teachers, and family members.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed.
• Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Stay updated with the latest research, practices, and regulations in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Board Certification in Psychiatry and subspecialty certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (or eligibility to obtain certification).
• Valid and active state medical license.
• Minimum [X] years of experience in child and adolescent psychiatry preferred.
• Strong understanding of developmental psychology and child psychopathology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with young patients and their families.

Work Environment:

• Office, clinic, or hospital setting.
• May include evening or weekend hours depending on patient needs.
• Interaction with children of all ages, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
