We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dental Assistant. The candidate must be MOH Registered and Licensed . They must possess at least (2) years of UAE work experience and should be either Arabic or Tagalog Speaking. The dental assistant will be responsible for preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, setting up rooms, and some dental hygiene tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing patients for dental work.
  • Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures. Dental assistant nurses are meticulous about instrument sterilization and infection control. They maintain clean and hygienic environment in dental rooms.
  • Assisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary.
  • Assisting dentist and dental hygienists with procedures this include handing instruments, maintaining a clear field of vision and offering suction or irrigation.
  • Providing great patient care. Responsible for ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients. They greet patients, help them feel at ease and explain procedures.
  • Recording treatment information in patient records.
  • Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment.
  • Giving patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs. Educate patients on proper hygiene practices, offer guidance on post treatment care.
  • Collecting and recording medical, dental histories, patient vital signs and taking consent of every procedure to be done.
  • Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
  • Caring for dental equipment. Maintenance and upkeep of dental equipment ensuring functionality and safety.
  • Forming preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts.
  • Ordering dental supplies and maintaining dental equipment inventory.
  • Fabricating temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Communication: Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with patients, explaining procedures, and addressing their concerns and questions.
  • Empathy: Given that patients may experience pain or anxiety, dental assistant nurses display empathy and compassion in providing emotional support.
  • Teamwork: They collaborate closely with dentists, dental hygienist, and other staff members to ensure seamless patient care. Teamwork and adaptability is crucial.


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant.
  • MOH License (or Eligibility) as a Dental Assistant (mandatory).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
