Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) on a contract basis to support our finance and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in U.S. bookkeeping, tax preparation, auditing and compliance, preferably within the real estate sector. This is a remote role with flexible hours, ideal for professionals looking to take on project-based work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate U.S.-based bookkeeping records, including general ledger, AP/AR, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Assist in monthly and year-end closing processes.
• Provide financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making.
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to clarify financial data and tax matters.
• Support audit processes as needed.

Requirements:

• Active CPA certification is required.
• Proven experience in U.S. bookkeeping and taxation (minimum 2–3 years).
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting software.
• Prior experience in the real estate industry is highly desirable.
• Excellent understanding of U.S. GAAP, tax codes, and regulations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setup.
• Availability to commit to project timelines and deadlines.
