Based at InterContinental Muscat , Treat Cafe manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of a cafe, including scheduling staff, training employees, ordering supplies, monitoring finances, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment. They also nurture customer relationships, resolve issues, and strive to create a popular and reputable local cafe. A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Treat café.
- Train employees on drinks preparation and proper use of coffee equipment
- Coordinate with vendors and order supplies, as needed (like takeaway cups, coffee, milk and other ingredients)
- Maintain updated records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expenses
- Add new menu items based on seasonality and customers’ preferences (for example vegan coffee drinks)
- Creates a positive hotel image in every interaction with internal and external customers
- Adheres to hotel brand standards
- Maintains a high level of product and service knowledge in order to explain and sells services and facilities to guests
- Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer service
- Ensure all cafe areas are clean and tidy
- Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation
- Comply with hotel rules and regulations
- Comply with company grooming and hygiene, and uniform standards
- Comply with timekeeping and attendance policies
- Be able to use and clean all barista equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines, following appropriate training.
What We need from you:
- Preferably be a graduate of Hotel and Restaurant Management
- Should have at least 3 year's experience as a Barista Manager in 4–5-star hotel
- Should be fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing). Arabic is an advantage
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Good knowledge of micros operating systems
- Good skills in customer service and communication
