Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Horticulturist to oversee and manage all aspects of plant care, landscaping, and green space planning across our residential and commercial development projects in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of plant species suitable for arid climates, irrigation systems, and sustainable landscaping practices, with a keen eye for aesthetics and functionality in urban environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Landscape Design Support: Collaborate with landscape architects and planners to select appropriate plant species and layout plans aligned with project vision and climate considerations.
• Plant Selection & Maintenance: Recommend, procure, and maintain a diverse range of plants and trees suited to UAE's desert climate.
• Irrigation Planning: Work with engineers and contractors to design and implement efficient irrigation systems, including drip irrigation and water-conserving technologies.
• Sustainability Focus: Incorporate xeriscaping, native plant usage, and other sustainable horticultural practices.
• Supervision & Training: Oversee site horticultural operations; supervise landscaping staff and contractors; provide training in plant care and maintenance techniques.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure landscape maintenance standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.
• Pest & Disease Management: Identify and manage plant diseases and pest infestations using eco-friendly methods.
• Seasonal Planning: Develop and implement seasonal planting calendars and landscape refresh schedules.
• Budget Management: Assist in preparing budgets for landscaping projects and ongoing maintenance.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Botany, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
• Strong knowledge of plant species suitable for desert and coastal environments.
• Experience working with large-scale real estate or infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with smart irrigation systems and sustainable landscape practices.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or landscape design software is a plus.
• Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.

Pay: AED12,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
