We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a full of potential and reliable Plant & Equipment Workshop Manager to join one of our projects in KSA.

What you will need to do:

• Supervise and coordinate the actions and activities of Plant & Equipment resources to ensure that the project equipment is always in good working and looking condition as well as environmentally friendly
• Ensure that any equipment repair or fabrication activity assigned to the workshop is done on time, as per required specifications.
• Ensure the existence of the appropriate and necessary resources (personnel, machinery, hardware and software) in the workshop.
• Make sure that all safety measures in his area of concern are well observed, and safety rules and regulations are followed.
• Ensure that the project workshop facilities: office, shed, rooms, lubrication etc are of appropriate size, quality and adequate equipped.
• Implement monthly inspections for Land and Floating equipment.
• Establish the annual schedule for the inspection and load testing of all project’s lifting equipment.
• Ensure by training the continuous improvement of performance and capabilities of his w/shop personnel.
• Evaluate performance and assigns performance marks to all personnel under him.
• Assist in the investigation and recommends the preferred equipment, for the equipment assigned by the PED manager or the regional manager to be purchased by the project.
• Follow up the maintenance schedule for the project equipment as per the PED maintenance instructions.
• Ensure proper use of the equipment in the project and suspends the operation of any damaged machine which, in his opinion, would suffer greater damage if not put out of service.
• Ensure that the workshop has parts, service and operation manuals for all the equipment existing in the project.
• Ensure availability of minimum quantity of critical spare parts for critical equipment after careful consideration of the time required to obtain them.
• Check the spare parts and consumable material stock level and tries to keep them as low as possible.
• Follow up the execution of the orders for parts and consumables for the workshop and ensures their on-time delivery.
• Investigate the availability of agents and 3rd party establishments in the area of the project capable to offer parts and support to his activities and make use of them as required.
• Ensure that warranties of equipment and parts are honored by their suppliers or agents.
• Ensure the collection and separation of all hazardous and domestic waste in his area of responsibility.
• Recommend to PED which equipment is no longer economical to repair.
• Provide the project with technical support & information.
• Ensure that all workshop reports are produced, checked, corrected and distributed on time
• Make sure that all appropriate measures are adopted during long storage of equipment in the project as per PED instructions.
• Ensure compliance of all workshop activities with respective local laws and regulations.
• Implement Company’s Integrated Management System applicable to his position.

What you will need to have:

• MSc in Mechanical Engineering
• 10 years experience in a similar position
• Marine equipment experience would be desired
• Proven leadership skills
• Proven analytical, planning and organizing skills
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Capability to perform under stressful situations
• Result driven and decisive personality
• Substantial business, legal and contractual awareness
• Fluency in the English language
• Knowledge of basic financial concepts
