Job Description & Summary

PwC Middle East’s Deals Energy Transition team is integrated within the broader Infrastructure Financing team and comprises bankers, accountants, engineers, economists, ex-developers all with a strong track record in the infrastructure and PPP space.

A career with our team means adding value to our clients through advice and support across all facets of the energy transition deal lifecycle from conception to deal closure.

You can expect to work predominantly on energy transition projects but will also be exposed to the broader sector including social infrastructure and transportation. The work could include advising clients on strategy and concept development, feasibility studies, co-development of greenfield assets, business plans, due diligence of potential investments/partnerships/acquisitions, bid development advisory, procurement strategies, commercial structuring and project financing arrangement.

We're recruiting candidates with varying levels of experience.

Role And Responsibilities

This individual will work with our team to advise clients on:

  • Co-development of greenfield energy transition projects .
  • Upfront strategy and planning for major greenfield procurements .
  • Evaluating and assessing energy transition projects from a financial and commercial perspective .
  • Commercial structuring of complex contracts.
  • Coordinating legal, financial and/or technical teams.
  • Bid evaluation.
  • Feasibility, business case and market analysis.
  • Procurement options analysis.
  • Project implementation advice through design and construction.
  • Project governance and project management frameworks.
  • General process management .

Business Development

  • Support business development regionally and nationally within the practice in both public and private sector markets.
  • Actively participate in the responding to Requests for Proposal for advisory mandates on projects.
  • Support development of PwC’s profile within the marketplace through industry involvement, contribution to internal and external publications, and presentation at conferences and industry events.

Practice Development

  • Train and mentor junior staff and contribute to the overall skills enhancement and experience of the team.
  • Work closely with senior members of team to maintain the high quality of deliverable we expect.
  • At times, business needs arise, and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal workday or work week to fulfill the accountabilities required for their job. Likewise, people need extra time to devote to personal matters, and our approach to flexibility provides for this.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business , Engineering or Law (combined with an MBA preferred but not required ).
  • I ndustry experience with a consultancy, corporate or renewable energy developer .
  • Background with greenfield energy transition projects .
  • Understanding of electricity markets and associated contracting structures .
  • Understanding of project financing in the infrastructure or energy transition context .
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent writing and analytics skills.
  • Proven capabilities of managing and working with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to communicate and effectively engage with a diverse group of clients.
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven track record at “juggling” multiple and competing priorities.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, fluency in Arabic would be a strong plus.

Location

  • We prefer you to be located as part of our team in the Riyadh, KSA covering the region’s largest energy transition market.
