We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Stewarding Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of all kitchen and dishwashing areas. The ideal candidate will ensure all equipment, utensils, and workspaces meet hygiene and safety standards, while also managing and motivating the stewarding team to perform efficiently during all shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise stewarding staff to ensure all cleaning duties are performed to standard.
• Monitor cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dishwashing areas, and storage rooms.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, and crockery are clean, sanitized, and properly stored.
• Schedule stewarding shifts and assign duties based on operational needs.
• Train and guide new stewards on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and equipment use.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals; ensure proper use and storage.
• Enforce health, hygiene, and safety standards in accordance with local regulations.
• Assist in managing waste disposal, recycling programs, and pest control measures.
• Conduct regular inspections and report maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions.
• Support kitchen and service operations during peak periods as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in kitchen stewarding, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals and sanitation procedures.
• Familiarity with HACCP and food safety standards.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Physically fit and capable of performing labor-intensive duties.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel or high-volume kitchen environment.
• Basic computer skills for scheduling and reporting.
• Good communication skills
