
The Warehouse In- Charge is responsible for overseeing the overall warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, optimizing storage and distribution processes and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role involves supervising warehouse staff, implementing the best practices for inventory control, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Warehouse In- Charge also plays a key role in streamlining logistics, improving operational efficiency, and coordinating with the departments to support the company’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Asses current stock with the storekeeper, evaluate stores consumption demand, prepare the replenishment list, and submit it to the concerned person for order placement.
- Coordinate the receipt of goods (containers from Taiwan)
- Prepare municipality inspection in DIP warehouse when needed
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, optimize workflow, and ensure efficient inventory flow and logistics management.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts.
- Conduct monthly inventory counting and regularly audits to verify stock accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Implement and optimize warehouse management systems (WMS, Polaris ERP, barcode scanning, automation tools) to enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop SOP for Inbound & Outbound operations.
- Establish and maintain internal work processes and policies.
- Formulate and analyse KPIs, such as order fulfilment rates and inventory turnover, to identify improvement areas and enhance performance.
- Implement corrective actions as necessary to address operational inefficiencies or compliance issues, ensuring timely resolution and fostering continuous improvement in warehouse operations.
- Provide inbound and outbound report on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis.
- Update daily and monthly inventory reports,
- FIFO, safe stock, and expiry date reports.
- Report on obsolete and scrap items, ensuring proper disposal.
- Other reports as per request.
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standard procedures in compliance with legal requirements.
- Monitor safety compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Maintain fire safety measures and ensure regular inspections.
- Assess and maintain the health and safety of all warehouse staff.
- Ensure proper placement and visibility of safety labels and signage throughout the warehouse.
- Lead the hiring, training, and management of warehouse staff.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Address team concerns, resolve staff issues, and ensure clear role distribution.
Education & Experience:
‒ Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s degree is a plus).
‒ 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
‒ Proven hands-on experience in warehouse process optimization & team leadership.
Skills & Competencies:
‒ Strong inventory management and logistics planning skills.
‒ Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP software, and inventory tracking tools.
‒ Proficient in MS Office Suite, advanced Excel data analysis skill needed.
‒ Good understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
‒ Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
‒ Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
‒ Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and manage workflow efficiently.
‒ Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Certifications (Preferred):
‒ Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
‒ Lean Six Sigma Certification (for process improvement).
