Job Description

Job summary:-

To provide cost-effective, high-quality nursing care to patients, ensuring optimal clinical care that enhances patient satisfaction and safety per approved policies, procedures, nursing standards, professional ethics, and environmental health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for implementing and delivering patient care following the centre policies, procedures, and scope of services.
• Act as a clinical nurse to meet patient needs, providing care and identifying necessary and urgent medical interventions.
• Prioritize patient care based on ongoing assessments of unit needs.
• Communicate with the medical team about ongoing changes to treatment plans.
• Ensure patient and family health education using available center resources.
• Responsible for receiving, storing, and ensuring the availability of medications and medical equipment as per centre policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other medical services (e.g., Pharmacy, Laboratory, and Support Services) to ensure service provision needs are met.
• Report any adverse drug interactions or incidental occurrences according to the centre policies.
• Accept feedback and corrective actions from the head of the nursing section/team leader to ensure patient safety.
• Participate in committees, task forces, and other organizational activities as assigned by the centre.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect personal information.
• Complete the mandatory competencies outlined and agreed upon by Nursing Department.
• Document nursing care provided in electronic patient medical records as per the centre policies.
• Comply with the centre infection control policies.
• Participate in environmental screening, identify risks, and report them to the head of the nursing section to take appropriate action.
• Assist in training and guiding newly appointed nursing staff in accordance with training plans approved by the Nursing department.
• Act as a team leader while providing direct patient care.
• Address challenges professionally and communicate effectively with the direct supervisor.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Health Sciences Management, or an equivalent field, along with specialized certifications in the same field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience post-graduation, including 4 years in the same field ( psychiatry and addiction treatment)
• Have A valid DHA or HAAD or MOH License
