Job Overview

  • The Assistant Studio Manager – Films will support the Studio Manager in overseeing daily operations of the film production unit, ensuring seamless coordination across pre-production, production, and post-production phases. The role requires strong organizational skills, production knowledge, and a proactive approach to managing shoots, schedules, crew coordination, and client servicing. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem-solver with a passion for filmmaking and studio operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily studio operations including scheduling shoots, equipment logistics, and crew assignments.
  • Coordinate between internal departments (creative, editing, VFX, production) and external vendors or freelancers.
  • Support the Studio Manager in budgeting, timelines, and resource allocation for film and video projects.
  • Ensure shoot readiness by overseeing call sheets, location permits, props, wardrobe, and talent coordination.
  • Manage client communications and ensure delivery of high-quality work within deadlines.
  • Supervise on-set logistics and troubleshoot real-time challenges during filming.
  • Assist in maintaining equipment inventory, studio cleanliness, and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Contribute to pitch decks, treatments, and concept notes as required.
  • Track project progress and report regularly on key milestones and timelines.

Key Requirements

  • Experience: 4-5 years of experience in film production, studio coordination, or content creation.
  • Production Knowledge: Strong understanding of production workflows, including scripting, storyboarding, shooting, and post-production.
  • Project Management: Excellent multitasking and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and client management skills with fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with production tools.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and travel for shoots when needed.
