Job Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Construction Accountant to manage project-based accounting across multiple sites in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction accounting, strong financial reporting skills, and the ability to travel between project sites and the head office. The role requires a valid UAE driving license and access to a personal vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate project cost records and track expenses for multiple construction sites.
• Prepare and analyze monthly project reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and cost allocations specific to construction activities.
• Monitor subcontractor payments, retentions, and contract compliance.
• Reconcile material and labor costs with project budgets.
• Assist with financial audits and ensure compliance with UAE regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, procurement, and the head office to ensure financial accuracy and timely reporting.
• Travel regularly between sites and the head office for data collection, coordination, and auditing purposes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in the construction industry within the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, project accounting, and construction financial workflows.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or ERP systems).
• Excellent MS Excel and financial reporting skills.
• Valid UAE driving license and personal car (mandatory).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
