Job Purpose
Considering the anticipated increase in LSA business volumes the current staff in materials department need resources to ensure timely actions are taken to address day to day contract management issues.
Job Context
To provide support in data handling and updating D365 on all Contract management and Supply chain activities to ensure timely and reliable responses to sales team on order status. Also ensure that D365 data is reflecting the actual situation and progress of sales orders
Job Dimensions
The Job involves regular and close interactions with all cross functional teams of the business specifically Sales and Operations Teams
Key Accountabilities
These will include:
Dynamic updates of Sales order status on the production plan
Ensure Sales order dates on D365 are in line with planned production (Sales Order scheduling)
Provide the sales team with updates on sales orders
Update and monitor S&OP forecasts in D365
Anticipated Delays in any production schedules are flagged up and communicated to sales well in advance
Create and maintain item masters, Bills of Materials on D365.
Engineering changes (ECNs) are actioned on D365 timely and communicated to rest of operations team
Discrepancies between physical usage and D365 MBOM items are identified, corrected through the ECR/ECN system, and implemented in D365.
Be a point of contact with QA and AFTER SALES to close out customer complaints pertaining to products supplied
Collaborate with the production and purchasing teams to provide nesting weight, update routing, and activate the standard cost of purchased items.
Perform product costing using various D365 costing methods, validate, and activate the final BoM cost.
Update all BOS KPIs pertaining to contracts management
Liaise with stores to ensure parts required for the week’s production are issued
Liaise with production and stores to ensure spares and accessories are ready & packed in line with Main FGs of the sales order
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Bachelor of Engineering -Electrical/Mechanica l
Sound background of engineering processes used in components manufacturing and ETO and ATO business .
At least 5 years of experience in supply chain function in a reputed manufacturing environment
Hands on exposure to working on internationally recognised ERP platforms, preferably Microsoft AX D365
