Job Purpose:

  • The Director of the Supply Chain Control Tower will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of an end-to-end integrated control tower that will optimize the company’s supply chain operations.
  • This includes overseeing the seamless coordination of warehousing, transportation, sourcing and purchasing, business development, sales management, pricing, and the import team.
  • The role is critical to achieving real-time visibility, efficiency, and operational excellence across the entire supply chain, driving cost reduction, customer satisfaction, and supporting the company’s strategic growth objectives.


Job Responsibilities :


Strategic Leadership:

  • Lead and manage the design, implementation, and evolution of the company’s Supply Chain Control Tower, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategies.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop strategies for continuous optimization of supply chain processes.


Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with teams across Warehousing, Transport, Sourcing and Purchasing, Sales, Pricing, and the Import team to ensure alignment of operational strategies, best practices, and performance metrics.


End-to-End Visibility:

  • Establish and manage centralized monitoring of the end-to-end supply chain, providing real-time data on inventory, transportation status, order fulfillment, and supply chain risks.


Technology Integration:

  • Champion the integration of advanced technology (e.g., AI, IoT, blockchain, ERP systems) into the supply chain control tower for enhanced visibility, data analytics, automation, and decision-making.


Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate risks across the supply chain by monitoring performance trends, anticipating potential disruptions, and proposing proactive solutions.


Optimization & Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive efficiency improvements in supply chain processes, identifying cost reduction opportunities while maintaining or improving quality and customer satisfaction. Lead initiatives for continuous improvement using Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.


Budget & Financial Management:

  • Oversee budgeting and cost management related to the Control Tower function, ensuring cost-efficient operations without compromising service delivery. Analyze financial performance and optimize resources.


Team Leadership & Development:

  • Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing, cross-functional team. Provide guidance on professional development and performance management.


Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leadership, providing updates and strategic recommendations related to the control tower’s performance and initiatives.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Technology, Advanced Data Analytics or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or business development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing integrated supply chain control towers or similar centralized supply chain functions.
  • Strong background in warehousing, transportation, sourcing and purchasing, and import/export operations.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working with global stakeholders.
  • Expertise in deploying supply chain technologies and leveraging data analytics for decision-making.
  • Certifications: APICS CPIM, CSCP, or similar certifications highly desirable.
  • Six Sigma or Lean certifications mandatory.
