The Job:

Provide effective engineering and implementation of end to end execution for security integration and civil scope of works, including design, build, and quality assurance for timely delivery and handover to the client.

Responsibilities & accountabilities includes (but not limited) the following:

• Provide system engineering and design support services to Project Managers to ensure the timely delivery of all projects within the stipulated time frame, quality and budget requirements.
• Provide system design & engineering support through the preparation of system documentation & drawings, maintenance procedures etc.
• Responsible for reviewing and validating network schematic before implementation.
• Accurate documentation of system installation processes and procedures
• Responsible for generating test reports based on cabling work, power management, terminations, system schedule list assigning to the MEP providers. Including shop drawing updates based on site amendment, corrections phase, inspection and final certification activities.
• Responsible for the on site supervision and implementation of the construction of an electronic security system.
• Under the direction of the assigned Project manager, be responsible for the effective delivery of projects, including resources, scheduling, procurement, and implementation of complete systems.
• Carry out security surveys and audits of premises and systems, identify and quantify shortcomings, make recommendations etc.
• Provide written reports, test procedures etc, conduct field testing and commissioning of complete systems.
• In conjunction with the relevant Line Managers, ensure project deliverables for each project are clearly defined and understood, and within required contractual timelines.
• Carry out the design and implementation of security designs, in accordance with relevant statutes and codes and to do so in accordance with industry best practice and the G4S Quality Assurance Systems and HSE Systems.
• Maintain at all times client confidentiality and act with discretion and a high level of personal integrity.
• Support projects in any other tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected.
• Ensuring that the correct permits (i.e. permit to dig) are in place prior to work commencing
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with the Technical Manager and Operations Manager to anticipate needs and advise as required
• Test network functionality and operability based on client requirements.
• Develop, execute and maintain environmental safety plans as required.
• Deliver effective commissioning of systems to quality requirements and support in handover to maintenance team.

Selection Criteria:

• A Bachelor of Engineering degree/diploma holder in Electrical, Electronics, IT or equivalent
• Comprehensive knowledge of low current systems including Access Control, CCTV, Fire Alarm, Intercom, Gate barriers, Intruder Alarm, Network configuration etc.
• Reasonable degree of IT Literacy – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, AutoCAD.
• Demonstrate experience in the system design and implementation of security solutions and techniques in a Commercial, Military or Law Enforcement Role.
• Willingness and ability to work flexibly and diligently as befits an important role within a fast growing division.
• High level of self motivation and an ability to work with a high level of initiative and limited supervision, in high pressure situations.
• Strong team player who can communicate, motivate and interact effectively with technical, commercial and clerical team-members.
• UAE Driving License is a must
