Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and methodical Estimation Engineer to join our growing team in the UAE. This role is crucial to the pricing, bidding, and commercial viability of interior fit-out and design projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimation, a deep understanding of materials and market trends, and a collaborative approach to cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs to prepare precise and competitive cost estimates.
• Compute quantities and costs for materials, labor, and equipment specific to interior fit-out projects.
• Collaborate closely with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure aligned estimation strategies and project feasibility.
• Prepare and submit well-structured technical and commercial proposals, incorporating value engineering and cost-effective alternatives where applicable.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing.
• Review tender scopes to identify risks, omissions, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Stay informed on market conditions and pricing trends to maintain a competitive edge.
• Participate in pre-tender meetings and client presentations, supporting both sales and technical discussions.
• Maintain and update a reliable database of suppliers, materials, and past project costs for reference and benchmarking.
• Support seamless project handovers by assisting in budgeting and documentation for execution teams.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.

Experience:

• 1–2 years of relevant experience in estimation for interior fit-out or contracting, preferably within the UAE.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of fit-out elements such as ceilings, partitions, joinery, finishes, and MEP integration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and industry-standard estimation software/tools.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, PlanSwift, or Bluebeam is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical and numerical proficiency.
