We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients for the role of an Accounts Receivable Accountant . This is a contractual/project-based position with an initial duration of six months, which may be extended based on the nature of the assignment. The role is primarily remote, offering the flexibility to work from home, though occasional travel to the client’s premises may be required for on-site support, project meetings, or training sessions.

Working hours are from Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner
• Supervise monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and adjustments are properly recorded
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules in accordance with IFRS/GAAP
• Ensure accuracy of journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reclassification entries
• Lead account reconciliations (bank, intercompany, fixed assets, accruals, etc.) and investigate discrepancies
• Coordinate with AP, AR, payroll, and treasury functions to ensure accurate accounting entries and period-end reporting
• Review trial balances and provide variance analysis and commentary on significant fluctuations
• Develop and maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Support and liaise with internal and external auditors during audits, providing requested schedules and documentation
• Monitor and guide the use of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / MS Dynamics / QuickBooks / NetSuite) for ledger integrity and data extraction
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
• Ensure proper classification and recording of fixed assets, depreciation, and disposals
• Support consolidation and intercompany reconciliation processes for multi-entity environments
• Coordinate with tax and compliance teams to ensure timely submission of reports and statutory filings
• Lead initiatives for process improvements, automation, and system enhancements related to GL and reporting
• Mentor and supervise junior accountants, reviewing their work and providing training and feedback
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including management and clients
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation and standard operating procedures for GL and reporting processes
• Perform analytical reviews and financial performance tracking across cost centers, departments, and projects
• Maintain the chart of accounts and oversee any structural changes based on evolving reporting needs
• Handle currency translation, adjustments, and consolidation reporting for multi currency entities
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager, Project Lead, or Client Supervisor
  
  

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in ERP and accounting systems: SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, NetSuite
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas, etc.)
• Competent with Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, documentation, and communication
• Familiarity with financial reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or other BI platforms is a plus
• Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and local accounting standards as applicable
• Experience with audit and internal control frameworks
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
• ACCA / CPA / CA finalist or qualified (preferred)
• Minimum 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role
• Experience in a multi-entity or shared services environment is an advantage
