The Kansas Corporation Commission (KCC) currently has a vacancy for an unclassified Human Resource Director. The KCC is a multi-faceted agency responsible for regulating public utilities including electric, natural gas, telecommunication and water companies as well as motor carriers, oil and gas pipelines and oil and gas natural production activities. The Commission’s headquarters is in Topeka with the central Conservation office in Wichita and four Conservation district offices located in Dodge City, Wichita, Chanute and Hays.

Position Summary & Responsibilities
Position Summary:
This position manages and directs the human resource management program for the KCC. This program encompasses all major human resource functions and activities, such as compensation, classification, recruitment/orientation/exit interviews, employee relations, benefits, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, affirmative action/equal employment opportunity, training and supervisory staff responsible for some of these functions.
Qualifications
Education: College degree in human resources management, business administration, or public administration. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Preferred: Master's Degree in human resources management, business administration, or public administration.
