This Continuous Improvement Analyst (Research Analyst IV) position is located in Topeka, at the Eisenhower State Office Building, and is within the Bureau of Performance Management. This position is responsible for supporting continuous improvement efforts and application of process improvement tools as an internal service to KDOT divisions, bureaus and offices. The CI Analyst will build strong partnerships across all levels to apply continuous-improvement methodologies, plan and execute projects, and implement thoughtful process changes and best practices that boost organizational efficiency and effectiveness. This role will work closely with a variety of specialized CI and data-analytics tool to design, test, implement, and sustain process improvements. Reporting to the CI Bureau Chief, this position will support agency-wide initiatives under the CI team&rsquo;s direction, including developing and maintaining regular performance-measurement reports and collaborating with teams across the agency to advance their strategic management plans.</p><p><b>

This is a certified law enforcement position for the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission located at the Kansas Star Casino.</p><p><b>
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:</b></p><ul><li>
Monitors gaming activity by developing informants and observing gaming activities and gaming employees. Conducts on-site investigations and inspections of electronic gaming devices and other gaming equipment. Observes authorized and unauthorized individuals in the different areas of the facility. Conducts on-site internal control audits and compliance inspections and investigations.<br>

Conducts background investigations including credit and criminal history records checks on applicants for licensure, utilizing interviewing and interrogation techniques that include reviewing financial statements and analyzing financial positions of individuals. Compile and complete background investigations that are sent to the Commission for licensing determination.<br>

Investigates complaints of alleged violations of the Expanded Lottery Act, including regulatory violations and criminal violations. Drafts reports to document and communicate investigative findings by assembling information gained through investigations and interviews.<br>

Make arrests, conducts searches and seizures and generally enforces all Kansas criminal laws. Appear and testify as a witness in court or administrative hearings. Coordinate criminal investigations and undercover investigations. As a regulatory agency, our chief mission is to seek compliance. As a criminal justice agency, our charge is to enforce the law. This is a certified law enforcement position for the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission at the Boot Hill Casino.</div><div>

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:</b></div><div><ul><li>
Monitors gaming activity by developing informants and observing gaming activities and gaming employees. Conducts on-site investigations and inspections of electronic gaming devices and other gaming equipment. Observes authorized and unauthorized individuals in the different areas of the facility. Conducts on-site internal control audits and compliance inspections and investigations.<br>
</li><li>
Conducts background investigations including credit and criminal history records checks on applicants for licensure, utilizing interviewing and interrogation techniques that include reviewing financial statements and analyzing financial positions of individuals. Compile and complete background investigations that are sent to the Commission for licensing determination.<br>
</li><li>
Investigates complaints of alleged violations of the Expanded Lottery Act, including regulatory violations and criminal violations. Drafts reports to document and communicate investigative findings by assembling information gained through investigations and interviews.<br>
</li><li>
Make arrests, conducts searches and seizures and generally enforces all Kansas criminal laws. Appear and testify as a witness in court or administrative hearings. Coordinate criminal investigations and undercover investigations. Work with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies where crimes have occurred to coordinate investigations and prosecution in individual jurisdictions.<br>

Assist the Topeka office in the investigation of white-collar crime and illegal gambling investigations. Help with the service of search warrants and seizing evidence related to these investigations. Compile reports and testify in court regarding the investigations.</li></ul></div><p></p><div><b>
