The Office of the Kansas Attorney General’s Civil Division operates as a general-service law firm for the State of Kansas and agencies. We provide legal advice as general counsel to agencies across State government, we represent State agencies, institutions of higher education, and employees sued in state and federal court for personal injuries, property damage, employment discrimination, and more.

Position Summary & Responsibilities
Duties:
Legal research and writing; participating in administrative hearings; researching, interpreting, and applying statutes, court decisions, or other legal authority on points of law; serving as general counsel to multiple state agencies; and conducting legality review on proposed regulations, bonds, and other governmental matters.

Travel: Infrequent to occasional travel both within and outside the state of Kansas for meetings, training, and other duties will be required.
