Job Description:
Qualification & Experience:
Essential:
- BA/BSC/MSC
- 10 -15 Years of experiece in a relevant field.
Desirable:
- Relevant academic qualifications, such as a degree or diploma in Transport Management or a related field.
- Retired from ASC/EME or having practical experience in managing transportation operations, including fleet management.
- Experience in supervision maintenance of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the complete NUST Transport is kept well maintained and ready in fit condition.
- Ensure that policy relating to the transport and maintenance of NUST Transport are strictly followed by all.
- Ensure that all the drivers are well conversant with Pakistan Highway Code.
- Ensure that vehicle maintenance system is strictly followed in the NUST Transport.
- Ensure that all the drivers are in possession of valid driving License.
- Carry out frequent inspection of all the MT held on charge.
- Update DD Transport about all Ins and Outs of MT all the time.
- Keep a thorough check on POL consumption.
- Ensure that all the drivers are well conversant with the norms and custom of service. The staff car drivers should be dressed up properly.
- Arrangement of centralized transport for officers, faculty and NG staff pick & drop of NUST within Islamabad/Rawalpindi & Taxila.
- Arrangement of transport for School going children of NUST Employees.
- Issue, receipt of all NUST transport to users including Colleges/Schools and Institutions.
- Purchase of spare parts/tyres/batteries is carried out as per SOPs.
- Provision of transport to Officers /Faculty and NG Staff on payment on aval.
- Ensure the timely & proper repair & maintenance work of all vehicles is carried out in NUST workshop/penal workshops.
- Pick & drop of students through battery operated shuttle carts within campus
- Ensure check & balance of hired transport for pick and drop of students from Islamabad/Rawalpindi.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Vehicle operation, documentation and maintenance
- Traffic regulations and road safety laws
Training and Certification:
Essential:
- Fleet Management (More than 10 Years)
Desirable:
- Logistics/Transport Management Training
Terms & Conditions:
- Candidates are required to attach scanned copies of their documents (Academics / Professional).
- Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC.
Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:
- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Medically unfit.
- Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.
- Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed forces may apply through their respective parent department / organizations. Late / incomplete applications will be ignored. Only short-listed candidates will be considered / called for test / interview and no TA / DA will be admissible.
