Job Description
A confidential semi-government organization is seeking a Cloud Computing and Applications Specialist responsible for managing, operating, and maintaining operating systems (Windows Server/Linux) within a cloud data center. Key responsibilities include ensuring system availability, enhancing security and reliability, and managing enterprise applications and services. The role also involves performance monitoring, implementing updates, coordinating with technical teams and vendors, and contributing to digital transformation initiatives.
Roles and Resposibilities:
- Contribute to the implementation of the IT strategy and digital transformation plan.
- Regularly manage, maintain, and operate operating systems (Windows Server / Linux).
- Oversee the readiness and performance of the cloud data center, ensuring its stability and integration within the VMware environment.
- Implement and monitor backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure protection and service continuity.
- Install and configure new applications.
- Manage Active Directory services and apply Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
- Apply regular and security updates to servers and user devices according to cybersecurity standards.
- Monitor systems, servers, and applications.
- Operate load balancers to ensure efficient resource distribution.
- Operate and manage enterprise email systems.
- Operate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Operate internal and external Domain Name Systems (DNS).
- Analyze internal business needs and provide effective technical solutions using open-source tools.
- Develop systems and servers based on standards and best practices.
- Test new or updated applications to ensure compatibility with the work environment.
- Prepare and update technical and operational documentation for users and operators.
- Coordinate with technical teams to activate, operate, and integrate applications internally and externally.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical issues, conduct maintenance, and implement updates.
- Provide advanced technical support and resolve complex issues following the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or an equivalent field.
- certifications or have completed training in Windows Servers, Linux, and VMware.
- 3 to 4 years of professional experience.
