Job Description

Intercargo Logistics is a fast paced, technologically advanced logistics & supply chain solutions company dealing with air, sea and road freight services across all 7 continents. We are currently looking for a female HR Officer who ‘ll be responsible for supporting various HR functions including assistance in recruitment, maintaining employee relationships, performance management, and compliance with local labor laws in Pakistan. This role involves working closely with employees and management to ensure smooth HR operations and building of a positive work environment.

Job Location: 2nd Floor, One Expressway, Gulberg Greens Interchange, Islamabad Highway

Job Timing: 12:30 to 09:30 in summers and 1:30PM to 10:30PM in winters

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, planning interviews, and coordinating with hiring managers.

Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation, documentation, and integration into the company culture.

HR Administration:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.

Prepare reports and documentation related to HR metrics and activities.

Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration as needed.

Employee Relations:

Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.

Assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts in a fair and timely manner.

Promote a positive work environment through effective communication and employee engagement initiatives.

Performance Management:

Support performance review processes, including tracking deadlines and providing guidance to managers and employees.

Assist in developing and implementing performance improvement plans as needed.

Compliance and Policy Administration:

Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulations.

Maintain and update HR policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and best practices.

Training and Development:

Coordinate and support training programs and workshops for employee development.

Assist in identifying training needs and evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally Bachelor’s or Master degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience (typically 4+ years) in human resources role with a shipping, forwarding, logistics or a likewise industry.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR software (e.g., flowHCM or HRIS systems).
