Summary
The Specialist – EDN at Systems Limited is responsible for supporting and maintaining enterprise network and voice infrastructure. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting, configuration, and monitoring of network systems including VoIP, firewalls, and performance tools to ensure optimal uptime and connectivity across business environments.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing and supporting Enterprise VoIP systems to ensure seamless voice communication.
Support the configuration and maintenance of network components, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
Monitor network performance using tools such as PRTG, SolarWinds, and PingPlotter, and escalate issues proactively.
Perform basic FortiGate Firewall configuration and troubleshooting tasks under supervision.
Support incident resolution and provide tier-1/2 troubleshooting for network-related issues.
Maintain network documentation including diagrams, IP addressing schemes, and change logs.
Coordinate with senior engineers for implementing network enhancements or changes.
Participate in routine health checks and patching activities for network devices.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in enterprise network support or administration roles.
Exposure to VoIP technologies, firewall configurations, and performance monitoring tools.
Technical Expertise
Basic understanding of Enterprise VoIP solutions.
Networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, switching, and routing.
Experience with FortiGate Firewall (basic configuration and monitoring).
Familiarity with network monitoring tools like PRTG, SolarWinds, and PingPlotter.
CCNA (completed or in-progress); CCNP is a plus.
