Position Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the packaging and identification of Engine Mobile Aftermarket product and all private branded products as requested from the Engineering department and Account Managers and other tasks to support department continuity.

Responsibilities

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works with Product Management, Project Management Office, Account Managers, and customers to determine desired identification and packaging of products.
  • Reviews desired product identification and packaging with Engineering, Production, and suppliers to ensure internal and external production capability.
  • Research and review of new packaging materials, new capabilities, technologies, and suppliers available to meet our company and customers’ needs.
  • Designs artwork and graphics for identification and packaging of products.
  • Obtains customer supplied graphics or receives customer approvals on any new proposed graphics.
  • Designs proper packaging and identification required to adequately protect the product and comply with both industry and customer requirements and applicable laws.
  • Determines and requests packaging tests as needed for new materials or comparisons in packaging material.
  • Determines and specifies pallet pattern per analysis and input Distribution, or customer.
  • Creates and maintains product packaging identification standards for products to comply with customer requirements.
  • Reviews Engineering products and process changes to determine appropriate packaging and identification updates required.
  • Investigates product identification and packaging related problems and corrects them as required.
  • Reviews product identification and packaging items for consolidation and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Manages and coordinates packaging projects and provides Packaging representation on other team members’ projects.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Required: Two-year technical degree in graphic design, commercial art, or structural packaging design.

Preferred: Four-year BA technical degree in graphic design or commercial art and two years’ experience in design and packaging within a manufacturing environment.
