Position Summary:
With direct supervision or guidance in a team environment, responsible for performing a variety of product support duties of moderate scope and complexity following well defined procedures and processes in one or more of the following functions: parts identification, shipping, receiving, warehouse, etc.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:<ul><li>
PARTS IDENTIFICATION</li><li>
Identify parts using the proper identification methods and equipment indicated by the picklist or WIP, blueprint and/or customer requirements.
</li><li>SHIPPING
</li></ul><ul><li>Prepare parts and/or materials to ensure safe handling for shipment including the completion of the necessary paperwork and shipping records.
</li><li>Prepare packaging per specifications for shipment including computer input for necessary labels, forms and shipping records.
</li><li>Interpret shipping instructions as referenced on Company documents or customer specifications or standards related to preservation and packing.
</li><li>Mark shipments in a legible manner. Prepare air bills, bills of lading and sales order forms for the carrier and Company records.
</li><li>Contact carriers for dispatching shipments, establishing rates or tracing follow-up information.</li><li>
RECEIVING/WAREHOUSE</li></ul><ul><li>
Receive shipments at receiving dock and forward materials to the appropriate team</li><li>
Weigh or count incoming/outbound parts or materials. Perform data input to update system records and verify all documents for completeness and accuracy.</li><li>
Receive material, check and identify parts by type or part number.
</li><li>Prepare parts for storage and place stock in proper location as directed.
</li><li>Select parts from stock to fill orders according to pick lists.
</li><li>Perform cycle inventory count.
</li><li>Maintain and update inventory locations in CICS.</li></ul>
Secondary Responsibilities/Non Essential Functions:<ul><li>
Maintains appropriate knowledge and ability levels to efficiently perform all assigned work and utilizes this knowledge base to become proficient in new/unfamiliar assignments</li><li>
May be required to assist in sub-assembly area.</li><li>
Observes all company policies and procedures, including safety rules, and maintains a clean and orderly work area. Maintains a satisfactory high level of performance.</li><li>
Actively participates in lean/continuous initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement. Applies lean concepts and tools in work areas.</li></ul>

Qualifications (relevant experience, education and training):<ul><li>
Requires high school diploma or equivalent and two years related product support experience or demonstrated ability to perform described position responsibilities.
</li><li>Able to implement and effectively apply lean/continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>
Able to effectively demonstrates team member competencies and participates in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.</li><li>
Must be proficient in computer terminal operations and possess basic knowledge of MS Office.
</li><li>The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers about work product and processes and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Must be able to read and understand written instructions, procedures, forms and specifications. Demonstrates effective interpersonal communication skills as well as the ability to work in a team environment.</li><li>
For Parker employees, this position requires Powerlift (forklift) Operator certificate from Stratoflex.</li><li>
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
</li><li>May be required to operate moving equipment and saw equipment and meet OSHA safety qualifications.</li></ul>
Typical Mental and Physical Demands:
The person in this position needs to frequently move about inside the plant to prepare parts for shipment, storage, fill orders, count inventory, and move materials. The team member frequently operates computers and office productivity machinery; occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to retrieve or store parts or materials; and frequently moves materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Frequently is exposed to noise, dust, gas and fumes and works near hazardous equipment or machinery.

POSITION SUMMARY: 
 
Provides programming support for machining parts, tools, or sheet metal on numerically controlled machine tools. Ensures parts conform to dimensional specifications and equipment achieves throughput efficiency. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 
<ul><li>Provides programming support for machining parts &amp; tools on numerically controlled machines by suggesting/ implementing program edit or re-wright of machine instruction.
</li><li>Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for mills and lathes using Esprit Cam software
</li><li>Create part setup, fixturing, machining strategy, order of operations, tool selection, speed/feed process parameter selections, etc. for new products.
</li><li>Show location of reference points and direction of cutting paths by preparing set up sheets and tool lists
</li><li>Support operators during first article runs and process stabilization.
</li><li>Analyze proposed changes in methods and materials and contribute to continuous improvement and key lean manufacturing / production activities
</li><li>Maintains technical knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing technical publications
</li><li>Support the team by accomplishing related tasks as needed. Work assignments may include cross-functional responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS: 
 
<ul><li>Completion of related trade school program, AA, or equivalent external in CNC Programming.

<ul><li>Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through previous four years of directly related experience at the NC Programmer level.

<ul><li>Thorough knowledge and proficiency in key numerical control programming principles, concepts, and techniques.
</li><li>Full knowledge of CNC programming language.
</li><li>Thorough knowledge of N/C tooling, proper speeds and feeds for the material to be machined and proper machine sequences. General knowledge of aerospace industry and machine shop operations.
</li><li>Ability to effectively apply continuous improvement methods to manufacturing functions (e.g. process mapping, design‐to‐production automation). Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
</li><li>Ability to research and analyze data and develop recommendations or resolve problems of moderate scope and complexity.</li><li>
Ability to work with only general work direction and instructions regarding the scope of assignments, determine priority and order of assignments.
</li><li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical manuals.
</li><li>Ability to manually program N/C machines.
</li><li>May require ability to use standard business software applications and/or specialized design, data analysis, or database tools.
