
Position Title: Claims Expert (Omani National)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Claims Expert to manage and lead the end-to-end claims process for complex infrastructure, construction, or engineering-related projects. The ideal candidate should have deep experience in contract management, arbitration, dispute resolution, and claim preparation, with a thorough understanding of local laws and international standards such as FIDIC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation, submission, negotiation, and resolution of complex claims (cost/time/contractual).
- Analyze project contracts and identify potential claim situations.
- Coordinate with project managers, legal advisors, and consultants to build strong claims with factual and contractual backing.
- Manage and document all claims-related correspondences with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee arbitration/litigation cases in coordination with legal teams and external counsel.
- Review and interpret contracts (including FIDIC) to ensure compliance and claim entitlement.
- Assist in delay analysis and forensic schedule evaluation using recognized methodologies (e.g., CPM, TIA).
- Ensure adherence to local legal and regulatory frameworks related to claims and disputes.
- Act as the key liaison between the company and external stakeholders for all claims-related matters.
- Mentor junior staff in the claims team and share best practices.
Requirements:
- Nationality: Omani
- Experience: Minimum 20 years in construction, engineering, oil & gas, or insurance claims (as applicable)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, or related field (Master’s Degree is a plus)
- Certifications: Claims management, contract law, or dispute resolution-related certifications preferred
- Technical Skills:
- Strong command of FIDIC and other contract frameworks
- Proficiency in claims software, MS Office, Primavera P6 (for delay analysis), etc.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and documentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Arabic
- High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
Preferred Background:
- Experience in working with government entities, EPC contractors, or large-scale infrastructure developers in Oman or the GCC.
- Prior involvement in arbitration/litigation or dispute boards.

Pay: RO1,200.000 - RO1,800.000 per month
