Job Description

Provides expertise and leadership in the development, implementation and post implementation review of major initiatives. Incumbent fills the role of technical expert individual contributor and/or project leader in the development and instillation of major projects and programs. Interfaces with internal and external resources to ensure successful and timely completion in accordance with user needs. The incumbent for this position will be named Project Director for a specific federal government contract managed by the Federal Government and Labor Management Division in the Institutional Client Group. The Senior Project Consultant shall be responsible for ensuring completion of all contract requirements and will work with representatives of the federal agency’s contractors in the performance of the contract.

The Senior Project Consultant shall be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and convene the necessary personnel to address issues that may occur. Credentials for this Senior Project Consultant shall include a minimum of 3-5 consecutive years of experience managing the coordination and delivery of large-scale commercial banking services with federal agencies.

Extensive management experience with the processing of government and non-government funding/deposits; EFT, paper check payments, and e-Checks processing to include the handling of stale-dated checks and government reporting functions; as well as an extensive background working with federal finance programs with high degrees of complexity involving the movement of federal funds.

The Senior Project Consultant will generally be assigned full time to the Project Director role. This includes being actively engaged in the management oversight of the day-to-day processes to deliver banking services in fulfillment of the contract. As time allows, the Senior Project Consultant will be given other duties as assigned. A minimum of 3-5 consecutive years of applicable federal finance experience is required for this position.

The candidate must have the appropriate federal government General Agency clearance.

  • Master's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • More than ten years of experience in project management activities

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $148,495.00 - $174,700.00
