Role Purpose
To strategically lead the Kitchen category at Abyat, driving growth, profitability, and success through comprehensive category strategy, product curation, supplier relationships, pricing strategies, and cross-functional collaboration, ultimately positioning Abyat as a market leader in the kitchen products sector. This role is focused on managing the kitchen fit-out and built-in product lines, including cabinets, countertops, and integrated kitchen systems
Roles & Responsibilities
Category Strategy Development
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for the Kitchen category aligned with Abyat's business objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform the category strategy.
Product Selection & New Product Development
- Curate and manage a diverse and functional product assortment within the Kitchen category.
- Work closely with product development teams to identify gaps in the current product offering.
- Drive the introduction of new and innovative kitchen products to meet evolving customer needs and preferences.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure that all kitchen products within the category comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and work with suppliers to ensure continuous compliance.
Financial Performance and Pricing Strategy
- Monitor the financial performance of the Kitchen category, analyzing sales data, margins, and profitability.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies to maximize revenue while staying competitive and meeting customer expectations.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Utilize data analytics tools to analyze sales trends, customer behavior, and other relevant data.
- Generate regular reports to assess the performance of the Kitchen category and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Communication
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and operations.
- Ensure seamless communication, alignment of objectives, and effective execution of the Kitchen category strategy across different departments for holistic business success.
Inventory Management
· Oversee inventory levels for the Kitchen category, optimizing stock levels to prevent shortages and reduce excess or obsolete inventory.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, management, industrial engineering
- MBA/master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience of 5 years as a Category Manager or in a similar role within the Kitchen industry.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
