Position Title: Principal Quantity Engineer (For Omani only)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Quantity Engineer with 12+ years of progressive experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and project controls. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field and will be responsible for managing quantity take-offs, cost planning, contract administration, and ensuring commercial success across complex, large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, plans, and specifications for civil, structural, MEP, and architectural works.
• Oversee and validate BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documentation.
• Manage and monitor project budgets, costs, and expenditure throughout the lifecycle.
• Evaluate contractor claims, variations, and change orders; provide recommendations to management.
• Work closely with procurement and planning teams to ensure alignment on material requirements and scheduling.
• Support contract administration, including interim valuations, final accounts, and contract close-out.
• Provide commercial risk analysis and advise project leadership on cost-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
• Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors and engineers in the team.
• Prepare regular cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, preferably in large-scale infrastructure, buildings, or oil & gas projects.
• Strong understanding of FIDIC and/or other standard contract forms.
• Proficiency in QS software such as Candy, CostX, MS Excel, and ERP tools.
• Sound knowledge of construction techniques, project phases, and cost control principles.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong team leadership and client interface experience.

Pay: RO1,500.000 - RO2,000.000 per month
