Job Description
A Project Manager in Wealth Management oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of projects related to investment platforms, client onboarding, portfolio management, and digital advisory tools. They coordinate between financial advisors, IT teams, compliance, and stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant solutions. The role involves managing budgets, timelines, and risk for wealth-focused initiatives. Strong domain knowledge in financial products and client relationship tools is essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones for IT projects.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and resources in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper resource allocation and timely execution of project tasks.
- Serve as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Regularly report on project progress, risks, and issues to key stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Manage and align stakeholder expectations, providing transparency on project status and any potential challenges.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to avoid delays or budget overruns.
- Develop contingency plans and work with the team to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Monitor and address any roadblocks that may hinder the progress of the project.
- Manage the execution of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Track and measure project performance against defined KPIs and deliverables.
- Ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout the project delivery process.
- Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring they remain focused and productive throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, ensuring effective communication and coordination across departments.
- Act as a mentor to junior project managers and team members, providing guidance and support when necessary.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and that costs are controlled.
- Track and report on budget status, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to assess successes, challenges, and lessons learned.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements based on project outcomes and feedback.
- Ensure that all project documentation is completed, including final reports, deliverables, and post-project assessments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of managing IT projects, including software development, infrastructure, or digital transformation projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, Asana).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and objectives.
- Experience in budgeting, resource planning, and managing cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams through all project phases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
